Capturing Time in Motion
Drone Timelapse's by TDR Studio
A dynamic twist on the classic timelapse.
Why use a 'drone-lapse' over something like a GoPro?
GoPros and other time-lapse cameras can be good, but they only show one section of a property, and can get dirty or fogged up over time. With our drone time-lapse, we can create custom paths that follow the progression of your construction site, ensuring nothing is left unseen.
Moving time-lapse is all about adding motion to the passage of time. Whether you’re looking to create a demonstrative video for your construction firm, visualise your architectural design coming to life, or keep a historic document of your first build, adding a drone timelapse is the best way to record it.
1. Custom paths
We create a tailored custom paths, recorded using Geo-points, that stay the same throughout the months and years. Ensuring we capture footage of your property which best suits the build progression. For example, if you know the front of house may be completed before, say, a garage; we can factor that into our path plotting, so nothing is missed.
2. Capture at the best times
We can limit capture to only the sunniest of days. Or maybe to add a little drama, we capture the start of the project during a more dreary day, in contrast to the finished property which may be in beautiful sun.
How often we visit your site varies on the length of the project and a few other factors. For the best results, we recommend a monthly site visit to keep things up to date.
3. Out of site, out of mind
Often, the problem with conventional time-lapse is where to put them. Want to make sure you capture the action? You may find a few months down the line that it’s in the way and is removed by the construction company. Your footage is ruined!
Move it too far away to avoid this and you may not capture anything worth showing off!
With our drone-lapses, our cameras are only there when it’s time to record, making the whole process a lot more manageable. As an extra, it saves you time having to figure out camera settings!
